The World turns
And turns again
Exchanging day for night
Through ages known
And lived by men
Each cycle weaves our plight

Wise men doubted, or so it’s said
Such things could never be
Each loss or gain precisely counted
Until inventions proved
What only thought could see
Each obstacle can be surmounted
