Song Birds

I see the birds by wing tips gliding,
Through the sky so freely blue.
I call to them in hope of answer.
Will they sing this song to you?

Yes, the birds so softly winging.
If only I could fly there too!
Then I could be the notes they’re singing,
And with my words, make love to you.

With Feathers yellow, red and blue,
Their voices rise, our hearts renew.
Each stanza filled with gold so gleaming,
Their music lives in thoughts of you.

Yes, the birds so softly winging.
If only I could fly there too!
Then I could be the notes they’re singing,
And with my words, make love to you.

Will they sing with notes so clearly?
Will they sing love’s chorus true?
And bring at morning, noon and evening,
All this love I have for you?

Yes, the birds so softly winging.
If only I could fly there too!
Then I could be the notes they’re singing,
And with my words, make love to you.
