Lateralization

Built two-sided like good and evil
Hot and cold, friend or foe
The reconstruction is not complete
Like Wernicke and Broca we each
Must choose which side we’re on
For which we shall compete
Our minds seem out of balance
At times confused by old or new
Our intonation, accentuation outside
Our true meaning, semantic’s
Struggle to choose what side it’s on
It seems our language grows from left
While inference, emotion, and
Alternative meaning depends on
Interaction with the right
Such is human interaction
Such is conception, belief
Saturated with choices
How can we choose
And when we do
How can we know for sure?
